Your Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement cyber security and data protection strategies, especially regarding GDPR compliance.
- Monitor and ensure compliance with relevant laws, particularly in the areas of data protection and IT security.
- Conduct risk assessments and internal audits to identify security gaps and areas for improvement.
- Collaborate with IT and legal teams to develop and implement policies to mitigate risks in data protection and cyber security.
- Educate and raise employee awareness about cyber security, data protection, and other compliance topics.
- Continuously monitor and analyze developments in IT security and data protection law.
- Assist with and coordinate external audits and government inspections related to data protection and IT security.
- Investigate and manage incidents in the areas of cyber security and data protection, and report to management.
- Hybrid work model: Do you live in Hamburg or plan to move here? Perfect! We are in the office three days a week, with two days available for home office.
- A successfully completed bachelor’s or master’s degree in a relevant field OR a professional certification (e.g., Certified Risk Manager, Certified Compliance & GDPR).
- At least 2 years of professional experience in risk management, compliance, or a related field.
- Proficiency in both German and English.
- Solid knowledge of relevant laws and regulations in the areas of data protection (especially GDPR) and IT security. Optional: experience with industry-specific standards such as ISO/IEC 27001.
- Strong ability to analyze complex IT security and data protection issues and develop practical solutions.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to effectively collaborate with stakeholders at all levels.
- Proven experience in independently managing projects, prioritizing tasks, and meeting deadlines.
- Experience with software tools and systems for risk management and compliance is a plus.
- High degree of integrity and ethical standards.
